About Us

Female R Us, since 2021 

Female R Us (FRU) is a women's networking organization founded and run by women for women. Its mission not only to create opportunity but unite and bring women together. The group highlights women, creates diversity and implements ways to raise funds thus giving back to female backed causes and women in need. 

FRU is a private organization. The organization is steered by its board of directors, members, volunteers, and collaborators.

It promotes women in various facets of business and life, such as entrepreneurs, authors, artists, women owned businesses, organizations, minorities as well as various services provided led and worked by women. We strive to help woman reach their financial independence and live full purposeful lives.

Currently we have three chapters in the state of Florida, with the goal to expand in Florida and other states. 

Some current endeavors 

Fitness: We have a thriving Female R Us Fitness Chapter that aims to blend traditional fitness programs with alternative thought dance blending different cultural dance styles, such as Bollywood, fitness Caribbean style, Samba and others. Also in the works is an upcoming launch of our monthly Female R Us insider newsletter. The launch is slated for May of 2023. This will also aid in highlighting and creating opportunity for our Female R Us insiders’ community. 

Events: We host events throughout the state of Florida for women to connect and learn from one another. We create an environment for women to meet, share their wisdom, network and resources with other women in hopes to create an endless cycle of growth. At our FRU events we strive to optimize opportunity and learn to be better equipped for the challenges that will come along the process. FRU events also allow the opportunity to raise funds to help different woman causes, generate job opportunities for women, as well as help maintain the yearly cost of Female R Us. 

We host events with purpose, great intension and lots of planning. 

We host lunch & learn events by professionals to teach women ways to grow in their current positions, higher their executive status through guidance and the right connections. 

Workshops: We host FRU workshops for women to learn new skills and apply the knowledge to earn extra income. 

Such workshops are charcuterie board making, flower arrangements, candle making, etc.… Most the participants are 100% sponsored, and we provide all the material for the workshops, as well as we give the participants a head start to be able to earn some income after completing the workshops. 

Our ultimate vision is to grow and higher awareness of women through our Female R Us platform. This will eventually culminate by hosting an all-women’s national convention in the USA. This convention would consist of a diverse cross section of workshops that pertain to women causes that we highlight in our current chapters but bringing it main stage in an annual convention. 

Some of the workshops targeted:

Health workshops hosted by female nurses and doctors about breast cancer, family planning, abortion, depression, mental health, anxiety, and topics that affect women’s health. 

Financial workshops hosted by female CPA’s where they would educate about credit building, income increase, investments, financial freedom and stability.

Legal workshops hosted by female judges and local female attorneys where they would educate on topics like how to address, domestic violence, sexual abuse, minor child custody, divorce, and other legal topics that affect women. 

Female educators and professors lecturing and educating about career paths, and ways to get and or higher their education for growth and better financial opportunities. 

Mentorship workshops to educate women of available resources such as mentor programs, assistance programs, Job programs, etc.

Giving in many ways: We would strive to have at least 10% off the women attending be sponsored seeing that some of the ladies cannot afford to take the day off as well as pay for admission.

While the convention will eventually be held at different cities every year, depending on the support it garners and the opportunities available, the final location of the convention would be selected based on many different factors as decided by the board and FRU’s constituents. 

Fund raising: To be successful in our endeavor, fundraising will be an integral part of our ongoing plan. As funds raised throughout the year at our FRU events will assist with what some of us take for granted, but others may see as a challenge with the basics such as feminine and hair products, clothing and shoes for job interviews, also medical services like dental work as its much needed. 

Safe housing for women: The funds raised at convention will also aim to provide safe housing for woman. Currently there is a significant shortage of safe homes. The existing programs are at capacity leaving several women on waiting lists with no assistance and no safe place to await the process. 

In exchange and as part of the cycle of giving and receiving, let our FRU tribe assist you grow your network and potentially increase your resources. We have come to the understanding that we cannot do this work alone, of the things that block us from thriving is sometimes not having the available resources that we need. Growing our network will increase our resources and this increase will create an endless cycle. That is a force to be used wisely in that: Power of Unity + Network + Community EQUALS NET WORTH, financial or otherwise!!!

At Female R Us we strive to learn how to be more successful, better leaders and communicators, thus enhancing the community with leaders and philanthropic wisdom. FRU is a place that creates and promotes diversity. It’s a women’s organization where the best of mind and culture come together.
